What causes Sexual Dysfunction?

Sexual dysfunction is a generalized term that can be described as a problem that can happen during any phase of the sexual response cycle. This, of course, differs between sexes, in the case of men, it specifically refers to an inability to gain or retain an erection. It may also refer to an individual who struggles to achieve an orgasm.

There are two main causes of sexual dysfunction: Emotional and Physical.

The former is rather easy to cover. There are individuals who struggle to maintain a healthy sexual life due to anxiety, depression, fear, or some other emotional reason. For these individuals, the best thing they could do is to see a psychologist, perhaps even a psychiatrist. No regular medication meant to treat physical sexual dysfunction would help any of these.

With that said and done, let’s get into the physical aspect of sexual dysfunction.
